1. Who this policy applies to
This policy explains how Premier Build Connect ("we", "us" or "our") handles personal information from homeowners, builders, website visitors and other people who contact us. We handle information in line with this policy and applicable Australian privacy law.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- name, phone number, email address and contact preferences;
- project details including suburb, budget range, land status, timing, plans, funding position and project priorities;
- builder business information including trading name, ABN, licence number, service areas, project experience, insurance, references, capacity and compliance documents uploaded with an application;
- enquiry source, campaign parameters, device or browser information, website activity and form submission records; and
- communications, notes and matching decisions relating to an enquiry.
Please do not submit bank account details, identity documents, health information or other sensitive information through a public website form unless we specifically request it through a secure process.
3. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you through website forms, phone calls, email, meetings and documents you choose to provide. We may also collect publicly available business, licensing and professional information when assessing builders, and technical information through analytics and advertising tools.
4. Why we use it
- to assess project readiness and builder-network suitability;
- to contact you about an enquiry or application;
- to identify, discuss and facilitate a potentially suitable introduction;
- to verify business, licence, insurance and reference information;
- to operate, secure and improve the service;
- to measure advertising and website performance; and
- to send marketing only where we have the consent or another lawful basis required to do so.
5. When we share information
A homeowner's information is not automatically sent to every builder. After assessing a project, we may share relevant project and contact details with a selected builder where the homeowner has consented and we have discussed the proposed match.
We may also share information with service providers that help us operate the website, database, email, customer management, analytics, advertising, accounting or legal functions. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business restructure.
6. Referral arrangements
Premier Build Connect may receive a referral fee or commission from a participating builder if an introduction results in a building contract. The existence of that arrangement is disclosed to the homeowner. A referral payment does not remove the homeowner's responsibility to make their own decision and obtain independent advice.
7. Marketing, cookies and advertising
Transactional messages about an enquiry do not require optional marketing consent. Where you opt in to marketing, every commercial email will identify us and provide a practical unsubscribe method. You can withdraw consent at any time.
We use essential storage for functions such as sign-in and security. On supported public pages, we automatically record limited activity to compare directory use with interest in our introduction service. This measurement uses no analytics cookies or saved browser identifiers. We record fixed page, business-area and approved campaign labels; we exclude private pages, demonstrations, search text, raw campaign values, advertising click identifiers, full URLs, referrers, contact details and written project briefs.
Your browser sends limited page and completed-action events to our own website. Random measurement identifiers exist only in the memory of the current page load, reset on reload or private-page navigation, and expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. We do not save these identifiers in cookies, local storage or session storage. We keep daily aggregate counts for up to 400 days and random event-ID receipts for up to seven days to avoid counting repeated requests twice; expired records are removed during subsequent processing. For abuse prevention, hashed rate-limit counters expire within two minutes and are removed during later processing. These records do not store raw IP addresses, measurement session IDs, contact details or form contents.
Where our Google connection is enabled, our server may forward the fixed event labels and temporary in-memory measurement identifiers to Google Analytics. Advertising user data and personalisation are disabled. We do not load Google’s browser tracking script or treat a page visit as agreement to marketing or advertising. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
8. Builder directory profiles, introduction requests and payments
The public directory also includes basic, unclaimed business listings drawn from public business sources. These show the business name and general locality where recorded. They are labelled as unclaimed and not reviewed by PBC. Source websites may be retained privately for verification; public listings do not provide outbound business website links. We do not publish private research notes, staff contacts or application details in these listings. A recorded locality is not a confirmed service area. Contact info@premierbuildconnect.com.au to request a correction or removal, identifying the business concerned.
When you create a directory account, we associate your signed-in account identifier and email with your submitted business profile. Your profile stays private until you request publication, give permission and pass the business ownership review. Published profiles display your business presentation and eligible uploaded project materials. Business phone numbers, email addresses, website addresses and external image or project references supplied in the account are private information for PBC and are not displayed or linked publicly. Our internal research notes, ownership review evidence, your account email and historical enquiry records are not included in the public profile. We store your uploaded company logo, cover image and project photos. Logos and cover images are publicly accessible only while saved in your approved, consented and published Basic or Plus profile. Project photos additionally require an active Plus showcase. Removing an image from the saved profile or unpublishing the profile revokes its public access. External image addresses are kept as private references; public profile images use PBC uploads.
When you request an introduction from a directory listing or profile, you use PBC’s homeowner project intake. We record the named business preference and its source with your submitted project information and contact details in PBC’s private intake records. Selecting a business does not itself share those details with the business, create a match or register a completed introduction. Any sharing for a PBC introduction follows the applicable suitability review, signed agreement and project terms, and your permission to share details. A builder’s directory account receives only an aggregate count of requests naming that business, not new homeowner names, contact details or project messages. This does not subscribe you to marketing. Avoid including identity documents or sensitive financial or health information. You can contact PBC about access, correction or deletion requests.
Historical enquiries previously submitted through the directory may remain available to the account owner of the named business, with the contact details originally supplied for that enquiry. Those records are kept for the original enquiry and follow-up purpose. New PBC introduction requests do not add messages or contact details to that archive.
We automatically record minimal public profile-view events to provide a rolling activity report. These events contain a profile identifier, random event identifier and timestamp; they do not include project messages or your contact details. Repeat views may be counted. View events older than 90 days are removed during subsequent activity processing. A separate rolling introduction-request count uses the business preference recorded with submitted PBC project forms; the report does not disclose the homeowner’s private intake information. For abuse prevention we use short-lived rate-limit counters keyed by a secret hash of the network address; the raw address is not stored in those counters. Expired counters are cleaned during activity processing.
Directory Plus payments are handled by Stripe. We store the customer, subscription and checkout references, accepted offer and terms records, introductory-offer eligibility records, subscription status and paid-access dates needed to operate your account. We do not store your full card details. Stripe also processes information under its own privacy terms. Financial and dispute records may need to be retained after a subscription ends; stopping renewal does not automatically delete your business profile or historical enquiry records.
9. Storage, security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No internet service can promise absolute security. We retain information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described above, for record keeping, dispute management and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it where practical.
Some technology providers may process or store information outside Australia. Where that occurs, we select reputable providers and take reasonable steps appropriate to the service and applicable law.
10. Access, correction and complaints
You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold, or raise a privacy concern, by emailing info@premierbuildconnect.com.au. We may need to verify identity before acting. We aim to respond within a reasonable time.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service, providers or law changes. The latest version and effective date will appear on this page.
